"Access Energy, Inc., submits several project bids to bring electricity to rural villages in Pakistan via Solar Home Systems"

Access Energy, Inc. has recently submitted project bids with the Government of Pakistan's Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) to provide rural villages in Pakistan with state-of-the-art solar power.

The three bids are specifically aimed at providing approximately 7,500 homes in the northern, central, and southern regions of the Sindh and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan with electricity via 50-, 80-, and 125-watt solar photo-voltaic systems. The project would help alleviate poverty, create employment opportunities in the energy sector, support the local economy, provide a means for communication, and improve the health and social conditions of the citizens of these villages as outlined as part of the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
